You can see how in this photo the sink backsplash looks like it is missing a tile cap. I would have liked it if it had a white chair rail cap. This is what accent tile would look like in shower shelf.

If you want to save money, you could just do the white subway tile in the bathroom and not do the accent tile. Just find a fun shower curtain to bring in the color.
