sugiman's Ideas
Windows, color, trim nice. Not a fan of the gambrel roof
Generally like this. Eaves a little short. Not a fan of the arched doorway
Like this porch. House is nice too Phoebe: I like the wide steps.
Like the windows. Eaves a little overdone. Like window in gable but not sure if I'd pick oval
Totally different, but I do like the to her framing under the porch roof
Generally like (see a pattern here) pavers are nice. Chimney nice but perhaps a bit imposing
Like the glass doors
Pergola is nice as is general color scheme & materials. Roofline is a little weird
There's something simple about this I like
Like this Phoebe: I like this too. Windows are too small - or maybe the proportion of window to wall is off - but I like the asymmetry, as well as that there are several different planes. I want a house that doesn't look like a box with a roof on it.
Another simple one that appeals to me
Like this
I like just the little bit of natural wood here
Much too "tall" looking
This is different, but neat
Modern, but I like it
Very cute
Door is nice
I guess this is analogous to my garage door
Railings like these, although contemporary, might work
Phoebe: I notice I like houses with at least two colors of trim.
Nice porch. Kinda a modern twist
I do like barns
Phoebe: I like this dormer instead of a skylight as a way to get more light into the guest studio. I also like the dark trim on the doors.
Phoebe; Here's another prettier way of getting light into the space other than a skylight.
Phoebe: For the guest studio.
Phoebe: This looks cool, but dangerous.
Phoebe: This picture is all about concept, not looks. I'm wondering if we need some kind of coverage adjacent to the house so that if we stop in the driveway to bring things into the house, we're not totally exposed.
Phoebe: If were going for the barn look, these doors are interesting.
Like the gable treatment. Not fond of stucco or stone particularly
