How to Use Water Features in Every Aspect of your Home
Gardens are the obvious place for a natural looking water feature. It is quite easy to incorporate one that mimics an actual natural occurrence like a babbling brook, waterfall or creek because they don't need any special landscaping. For example, I put this one on top of a bed of mulch and planted a few flowers and plants around it. Fill with water, plug-in, and enjoy. As an added benefit, many garden water features have lights to accent the water at night!
Accessorize! Like in fashion, accessories can make or break your outfit. The same holds true for your home. Tabletop fountains are a great accessory and they come in so many styles that every home in America could have their own. Not to mention, small water features make for a very Feng Shui-esque feeling.
Hand-painted Fountains These wall fountains have an even larger artistic twist to them with their hand-painted designs. The accomplished artist of these one of a kind works of art makes each piece to order so every fountain looks is unique. Obviously this piece could replace an old canvas painting you've had up way to long or just add it to a room to class it up a bit.
Indoor "Inspiration" This type of wall hanging water feature can be customized to fit your design needs. You can change the metal type to stainless steel or black for a more modern look or leave the flamed copper for an antique feel. You can usually change the main body surface too. The Travertine pictured is one of my favorites. You can choose between many natural stones including slate and marble variations to fit in with any counter top or accents you have in the area.
