Tavia is the in-house designer for M.R. Brewer, a custom home builder and millwork shop located in Portland, Maine. Tavia graduated with a Bachelor of Science in Interior Design and went directly into kitchen design after finishing school. She has worked for the last 15 years specializing in custom kitchen and bath spaces.

When we teamed up with M.R. Brewer & purchased a home to be built by them, they indicated that they had an in-house designer that we could utilize. Truthfully, I was very leary of working with a designer until I met Tavia. She is so knowledgeable & helpful. She listened to our ideas & would explain the benefits & the disadvantages so we could make a decision most beneficial to our needs. She worked with us & not for us, she was on our team. Building a house is both very scary & daunting. With Tavia by our side suggesting the order of sequence in what to choose next, we actually had fun in the process. I would highlyrecommend Tavia as my designer of choice. Donna Verrill

Tavia did a great job designing our kitchen, helping us select the appropriate materials and appliances as well as coordinating installation. Tavia is very professional and knowledgeable. She is simply the best! Bottom line? I wouldn't hire anyone else should I do another renovation.

Tavia Claire was amazing! She was so instrumental in creating the spaces within my home that I do not think I could have completed it without her. She has a great understanding of how an area should function and how you will use it and then she has an amazing ability to execute it. She has vision and she has great style! Tavia would research items for me and then present them to me so we both had a clearer picture of how the space or the design of a cabinet, or built in would look and function. She always responded and was readily available at all times. If you should be so fortunate to get to work with Tavia you will see that her expertise is second to none!

Tavia worked on a project re-designing our entire kitchen and master bathroom. I truly do not know where we would have been without all of her visions and ideas. Tavia was such an amazing and helpful designer to work with, whenever we had a question she was always there to provide an answer or to give us options to choose from. The end result is even better than I ever imagined it could be and we are so excited to show it off to our friends and family when the come over. They are by far our favorite two rooms in our house. Tavia also handled every step to be taken from beginning to end and we did not have to be involved with the tedious details which helped tremendously so we could focus on the rest of our renovations. I highly recommend anyone looking for a well experienced and talented designer to use Tavia to help you succeed in creating your visions, you will not be disappointed.

Tavia is a very professional designer and incorporated everything we wanted into her design plan and then some. She was patient with us and listened to our needs, gave us ideas and suggestions. Our kitchen is beautiful and very functional and we could not have done it without her. We couldn't be happier with our kitchen remodel. Thanks Tavia! :)

Tavia has now designed six spaces for us. Every one of them is functional down to the square inch, beautiful, and standing the test of time. After two years, we have yet to say "I wish I had…" Her eye is impeccable, but her listening skills, her perseverance in questioning every drawer, surface and angle, and her willingness to stay with the job until it is completely finished are what sell me. She takes 100% responsibility for delivering a space that is perfect for her customer. She has great enthusiasm for the design, but also problem solves every step of the delivery. People walk into our home and say "This is so you!" but I know it is Tavia who made it happen. Sue, Cumberland, Maine

Commented: Baseboard and door trim color helpI would recommend a paint match. Take a sample of your cabinet white to a paint store and use it for your trim color as well, it makes for a very high end cohesive look.
