In my early twenties I started to be interested very much in the exotic for me then Japanese history and traditions. Perhaps, Akira Kurosawa_____________________________________________________________________________________________s movies and the short stories of Ryunosuke Akutagawa gave me the first impression of Japanese culture and aesthetic. The rituals and traditions until Meijdi period were intriguing for me as an young artist. I have been trying through the years to bring together the interest and the impressions of Japan with my traditional European school of fine art.The Story in the Chambers_____________________________________________________________________________________________ andDusk at the Bamboo Grove_____________________________________________________________________________________________ are some of the results of the long research I have made in this direction. Now I live near San Francisco, and I often visit the Japan Town in San Francisco and those lovely visits continue to develop my passion and knowledge to this thousand year old culture.
