The Charleston Shaker Kitchen

Traditional Kitchen, Hampshire

This traditional kitchen uses tulipwood for the main parts of the furniture, as it is idea for painting. The frames and doors are 30mm thick to give a substantial, luxury feel. Each drawer box constructed in solid oak with dovetailed joints for longevity and strength. The doors have discreetly hidden magnets near the hinges to act as a soft close, so you still get the benefit and aesthetics of traditional hinges. Framing the Flacon range cooker are on the left assiette of solid oak trays neatly tucked away in there own cabinet and on the right the same cabinet but with two useful oak chopping blocks. At eye level we didn't have a lot of space so we made a concave wall unit to house the everyday consumables for cooking. The worktops where finished in Antique Kashmir White Granite.
