Peugeot Paris Classic Red Lacquer Pepper Mill 18cm/7" - PM19143 Experts in the art of an absolute perfect pepper experience. Peugeot has revolutionized the pepper and salt mill industry since 1842. Peugeot’s two stage pepper grinding design has never been equaled. For pepper mills, hardened steel is preferred over stainless. Peugeot uses two size grooves, called Channeling and Grinding. The Channeling grooves, larger grooves are designed to line up the peppercorns to crack them. While the Grinding grooves, smaller grooves do the actual fine grinding. For Paris Classic mills, the grind is adjusted by turning the top nut. Mills are made using high quality beech wood. For Pepper use only, salt is never to be placed in pepper mills. Salt is highly corrosive and can easily corrode the steel mechanisms. Matching salt grinder versions available also.
