Low VOC, Water Based Sealer for Smooth Concrete & Decorative Concrete

Product Description

TS204 is a non-yellowing, water based epoxy infused acrylic sealer designed for interior and exterior decorative concrete and other smooth concrete surfaces. TS204 is a penetrating breathable coating that provides a satin or low gloss finish to a multitude of interior or exterior and horizontal or vertical concrete and masonry applications. TS204 is self-crosslinking, which provides better film formation, early water resistance, superior adhesion, increased toughness and outstanding efflorescence and alkali resistance. TS204 provides enhanced performance over traditional acrylic sealers with better flexibility, chemical resistance, non-blushing, adhesion, durability and hot tire resistance. It combats freeze/ thaw, repels salt and oil, limits stains and molds, resists yellowing, blocks efflorescence and dusting, increases surface durability, and reduces scaling and spalling. Deep penetrating and ultra low viscosity formula allows for easy application through low pressure sprayers.
Recommended Uses
TS204 was originally developed for commercial and industrial applications and is widely used throughout North America to this day for those applications. Concrete Sealers USA is now also making this professional grade sealer available to the residential market so small contractors, applicators, and do-it-yourselfers can enjoy the same superior benefits that architects, engineers, and large contractors have enjoyed for years. TS204 is recommended for sealing existing concrete surfaces such as decorative concrete, stamped concrete, stenciled concrete, acid stained concrete, overlaid concrete, troweled finished concrete, and other smooth concrete surfaces. It is ideal for sealing commercial and residential interior concrete floors, garage floors, driveways, sidewalks, walkways, porches, steps, pool decking, and patios. Suitable for horizontal or vertical and interior or exterior applications. Its low odor makes it ideal for indoor applications or other enclosed areas.

Limitations
TS204 is designed to work only on cured smooth concrete, decorative concrete, and other masonry substrates and is not intended for asphalt. This product may damage vegetation. Avoid contact with glass, vinyl, plastic, wood, and metal. Sealer may be damaged if frozen prior to use. Not intended to seal cracks or for use where severe hydrostatic pressure is present. The coefficient of friction of the surface may decline with each sealer application. This can be offset by applying an anti skid compound (ex. sand) when sealer is still wet and prior to it drying. Sealer should never be thinned or mixed with any form of solvent. The Company does not warranty specific performance results or compatibility with products manufactured by others. The Company shall bear no liability, other than replacement of defective product. A small test must be conducted prior to application. Based upon this test, the purchaser shall determine for themselves the suitability of this product for the intended use.

Environmental and Regulatory
TS204 contains no solvents and 100 g/L Volatile Organic Compounds (VOC). This product is considered a non-hazardous chemical under OSHA Hazard Communication Standard (29CFR 1910.1200).Contact may cause skin or eye irritation. Using with adequate air ventilation, eye protection, and gloves is recommended.

• Surface Preparation

Substrates to be sealed must be a minimum of 28 days old and/ or be fully cured. The surface must be structurally sound and porous enough to allow penetration and adhesion. Surfaces should be clean and free of dust, dirt, debris, mildew, oil, grease, paint or other surface coatings, and other contaminants. Prior to application, any surface defects, cracks, voids, and joints must be properly sealed or filled. . If acid is used for cleaning the surface, neutralize the surface completely before application of TS204.

• Application

Always test adhesion prior to application. Surface should be dry for proper application of sealer. Wet or damp surface may result in white appearance and poor adhesion. Product is a one part system and requires no special mixing. Stir material thoroughly before and during application. Do not apply below 50°F or above 85°F during the application and drying period or to exterior surfaces if rain is expected within 24 hours after application. Apply with low pressure sprayer or medium nap roller for best results. Apply a uniform film to ensure complete coverage of the surface. During application, it is very important to back roll as necessary (even when sprayer is used) to ensure that excess material has been pulled out of low lying areas. Failure to remove excess material from low lying areas may result in poor adhesion or a whitening of the surface. If additional coats are desired, wait approximately 4-6 hours between coats. Full drying time is approximately 24-48 hours. Additional coats will yield a higher gloss and enhance overall surface protection. Over application may result in bubbles, poor adhesion, or in whiteness which generally dissipates with time or final sealer application. Clean application materials with mineral spirits or solvents immediately. If not cleaned immediately, the sealer may leave a residue. Dried sealer can be removed with solvents.

• Drying Time

Dry to touch in 1-2 hours, for foot traffic in 4-6 hours, and for vehicle traffic in 24-48 hours. Drying time is for estimating purposes only based upon temperature and humidity.

• Shelf Life
• 1 year unopened.
