Kayron Brewer, CKD, CBD / Studio K B All base, crown and trim is Ace Hardware E36 White Mosaic. The ceiling is Restoration Hardware 'Linen". Walls are Devine "Roast".
Love this room! Can you please tell me.... - How high the ceilings and top of mantel?
How deep are the shelves in the bookcases? Are they recessed in the wall?
Thank you! »
Kayron Brewer, CKD, CBD / Studio K B The walls of the LR is Devine "Roast".
The top of the mantel is approximately 54-58" high. These were existing bookcases, so no drawings were done. The shelves were approximately 10-12" deep and not recessed into the wall. The firebox comes into the room, that is why the bookshelves look recessed.
Can I download your photo? - I am a FOR profit blog owner looking for beautiful home interior photos. Houzz advises that I may use any of their photos on my website if I use the embed code associated with it. However, I wanted to check with the author of this, or any photo you submit to them, that this is OK with you also. Did you take the photo? Are you the owner? What type of license does it have? What I want to make sure that you authorize it's re-use and that you have the authority to do to do that. You may contact me at affil2@cox.net
Thank you,

Kayron Brewer, CKD, CBD / Studio K B It was ordered from Bernhardt, which was a few years ago. I do not see it on their current website. I would look for a retailer of Bernhardt in your area. If you do not find it through them, I found a similar one on the Mitchell Gold website.

Kayron Brewer, CKD, CBD / Studio K B We used Devine paints for the house. The majority of the colors throughout the home were "Muslin", "Hazelnut" and "Pecan" from Devine. I think this room was the Hazelnut.
This Craftsman-style fireplace is very popular in 1920s and 1930s bungalows. This room has a modern approach that starts with the tile surrounding the fireplace. The rest of the room pulls from the deep browns and caramel colors found in the tile.
7. Let a stunning surround be the star. If you've gone all out on a gorgeous surround, like this mosaic tile, don't bring in a screen that's a diva. Let a plain black one blend into the firebox.
Add surround to existing fireplace, old meets new?
