The other title for this piece is "He Missed the Bus Again". The morning light through the trees as I drive back to my house from the middle school inspired this piece. I did a sketch outside and then worked this in my studio. The trees line the edge of a farmers field at the crest of a hill with a low stone wall.

It is painted on a panel, that is cradled in the back, the sides are a light wood. It hangs from a wire off the back of the cradle.

About the artist:

Light, color and a love of nature are the driving forces behind my work. My work reflects the relationship to the world around me and I strive to create a visual representation through my senses and experiences. I work in mostly oils, but also, pastel, watercolor and pencil. I am a graduate of Pratt Institute with a BFA in Painting. I am currently represented by the Wallkill River Gallery In Montgomery, NY.
Currently, I am a board member of the Orange County Arts Council, and facilitate the Warwick Life Drawing Group. I live in Warwick, NY, located in the Hudson Valley with my husband, art teacher/sculptor Louis Fatta, and our two children. We are surrounded by the beauty of a rural landscape that includes farms, mountains and state parks.
