The base assembly consists of welded 14-gauge legs with a 12-gauge base spreader and structural 11-gauge base support and top support is 9-gauge cold rolled steel. Decorative extruded aluminum trim panel is included. Adjustable column assembles to base assembly and top support using eight bolts (supplied). The patented glide system maximizes stability and alignment by compensating for off-center loads which means no additional adjustment is required throughout the base's life cycle. The drive system is an electric 115 volt 60Hz AC input, 24V DC motor with no hydraulics, belts, weights or pulleys. System draws only 1.2 amps under full load. Capable of lifting 150 lbs. gross weight. Motor drives a steel Acme thread, linear actuator with gear reduction. All components are U.L. recognized and tested to 25,000 cycles without failure.
