Made in Vancouver, Canada by Bocci.The 14 Series are a family of low voltage pendants designed to be clustered in groups. Each individual pendant is an articulated, seamed, cast glass sphere with a frosted cylindrical void which houses a 10 watt xenon or 1.8W LED lamp. Unlike most contemporary lighting, the 14 Series pendants are visually quite subtle in and of themselves - they do not dominate a room or space. Instead, they are designed for clustering - gaining tremendous visual strength when multiplied - the effect being of many tiny candles encased in floating spheres of water. The light interacts with the imperfections and bubbles of the cast glass to make a visually rich halo of light. Cast glass is an organic process - imperfect by nature - so each piece produced is unique.Main photo by Cory Dawson.14wl is suitable for wet locations, meaning this atmospheric pendant light can be installed outdoors or in a variety of commercial and residential applications. Offered with cast glass in clear, smoked grey or amber. Brushed nickel canopy with a braided metal coaxial cable mounts to standard octagonal junction box, with electronic transformer fitting inside junction box. Each pendant ships with 10 feet of wire that can be field shortened. Recommended minimum height is 12" to the bottom of the sphere. Each 14wl Pendant is outfitted with a teflon coated coaxial cable and a silicon plug for the top of the pendant.
