Cynthia Mason Interiors The workspace was custom-made of wood and lacquered dark charcoal to blend into the wall. It's attached to the wall with large brackets. Thanks for asking!

Anthony Giunta Jr. They do make desks with drawers on both sides. They refer to them as a Partner's Desk whereby one partner would sit on one side and the other on the opposite side. Typically they would be extra wide/deep to accommodate. These could be dummy drawers for aesthetic reasons or they could be the real thing. Although I don't sense the desk being extra deep. Nice desk.

The more weight an object has, the more you have to play to get the balance right. The blue ottoman and office chair in this room are the stars of this show — they have a bit of weight to them due to their solid shape and deep color. The dark wallpaper in the background balances the weight of the foreground. Of course, with all that weight, something has to give or it'll feel like a medieval cave. Whites, ivories and creams lighten up the space. Medium-size furniture legs, lamp bases and chandeliers ease things up a bit.
