Built in space bumped out into unused garage area. Compact corner desk and reading nook. Reclaimed wood molding around outside of opening is from a demolished cigar bar.

9. Pick a chair. An armless chair is more likely to scoot right under the desktop and allow the doors to close. You may also choose to make an occasional chair in the room work double duty and simply pull it over to the closet when you need to get some work done.
3. Eclectic nook. Transform a pantry or spare closet into the ideal office for any home with tight space. Chisel out a reading and studying area with some banquette seating for added comfort.
This office, tucked into a closet, even has room for a guest. In my version there is storage in that bench and folding shutter doors to close off the space.
