How is that range hood installed on the top where it meets the vaulted ceiling? - I have the same layout in my kitchen and I don't know how I would go about installing a range hood like this on the area where it'll meet the vaulted ceiling. Did you cut the metal at an angle to flush it onto the vaulted ceiling? »
Futuro Futuro Kitchen Range Hoods With wall-mount hoods under a sloped ceiling, you have 3 options:
1.) Run the duct into the wall (90-degree angle) - then the chimney only needs to be high enough to cover the duct, i.e. you'll have a space between the top of chimney and the ceiling.
2.) Cut the chimney - the chimney cover is only a thin, U-shaped piece of sheet metal, can be cut with a variety of tools.
3.) Build a soffit / shelf to provide a level plane for the top of the chimney.
Mueller Nicholls Cabinets and Construction Hello, This tile is 6" x 12" homed marble tiles, either Carrera or Calacatta, probably Carrera. The tile subcontractor cut these tiles down from 12" x 12" tiles. Good luck!
How was this backsplash (carrara marble) purchased....is a slab that ws cut into a specific size or are were they available in this size??? If so, what size are these and are they honed/polished??? »
bepsf Very often folks will - to save on costs - purchase far less expensive 12x12 marble tiles from their local big-box store and simply cut them in half to achieve this appearance.
Type of floor? - Hi!
I'm currently looking at getting cherry cabinets and wondering what type of hardwood floor to get that would coordinate... This looks like a good match- can you tell me what kind of floor this is?
Thanks! -Jill »
all of it...the wood cabinet color with the counters, the light tile back splash, the open shelving for cooking items (though I know my family and the clutter potential), the hood, the floor

This is a nice example of cherry with a clear stain. They are still light but with a wonderful red tone. I think that cherry would look great in your bathrooms.
