Kelly Porter In this space, there is probably space to walk behind the chair. Otherwise, you'll want to have at least 18 inches between the chair and the bed to scoot by...but ultimately, it depends on what you're comfortable with. Don't worry about the "furniture rules."
3. If you have hardwood floors, consider adding a nice big rug. Wool rugs are super comfortable underfoot and wear like iron. They are also pretty stain resistant. Another great look is sisal...really warms up a bedroom. Just look for one that isn't too hard and will be comfortable underfoot.
