love the fireplace - I don't have space to put in a real fireplace, I thought of doing a gas ventless one. I have a blank wall in the family room where a fireplace could go, but no room for a chimney.....how would i get this one to work out for what I need....thank you »
katray1017 Be careful with ventless that you get a unit appropriate for the room size. Our builder put one in our library that was intended for gigantic rooms and it smelled horrible and was way too hot.
It looks as if the TV is not built in. I have a similar problem in my family room & was thinking of having something like that built for the TV. Is it possible to see the entire TV unit with the mantel? I'm afraid I won't like it once it's done. »
renie414 Do you like the way it is done i.e. continuing the mantel across the top of the TV cabinet? Right now the plan that has been drawn up for me has the top of the cabinet lower than the mantel. My cabinet will also be at an angle instead of straight across.
COASTROAD Hearth & Patio Judging from the depth on the sides and the overall size, this mantel was apparently custom made for this application.
If you have a more "typical" fireplace, Pearl makes a mantel very similar to this sized for a 36" fireplace and another one sized for a 42" fireplace, called the "Classique":

Won't the TV be at a bad angle if it is to the side of the fireplace? Not if you can angle it toward the viewers. The TV cabinet to the left of the fireplace gives more of a straight-on view.
