In the Master Bedroom the color palette was left cool and refreshing. The window above the headboard was placed so that Lee and Amy could “see the sunrise” each morning. The crisp lines of the IKEA rocking chair mimic the architecture, while its black upholstery references the homemade headboard and provides a spot of contrast in the space. The window shade, also an IKEA find, slides on a track to cover the window for privacy. Pulled open during the day, it acts almost as a modern “tapestry”, introducing pattern among the room’s geometry.
