What color paint would be comparable to Ralph Lauren? - I can't find Ralph Lauren paint anywhere! My project is almost done and ready to paint. Any suggestions are really appreciated. Thank you! »
Is the vanity top and the floor tiles in front of vanity the same material? - Gorgeous floor tiles. What brand and color? I'm assuming the little accent tile is one of the mosaics used also in the shower? It's hard to tell, are the vanity and the floor both a shade of green? Gorgeous bathroom!! Thank you so much for the info. »
Chris Jovanelly Interior Design Hi Crazy! The counter and floor are black granite. The little detail is the same marble as the shower. The vanity is espresso.
lizjenjim Thanks - the bathroom is beautiful by the way. Thank you for sharing it - it's so hard finding elegant ideas for small areas...especially here in East TN!!
Chris Jovanelly Interior Design It is the same paint as the rest of the bathroom. It's called "donegal" by Ralph Lauren. There is a Ralph Lauren candlelight topcoat over the paint. Thanks!
Chris Jovanelly Interior Design The vanity was not custom. It was purchased at The Great Indoors in Scottsdale. I replaced the hardware with "Strande" knobs from Restoration Hardware.
Chris Jovanelly Interior Design You are very welcome Cheryl! Marble is pretty soft, and would be more prone to scratches than a harder stone like granite or quartz. However, whether it's honed or polished doesn't really matter in regards to how easily it will scratch. Also, comparing apples to apples, a polished version should be maintained just as regularly as a honed version of the same stone. What's your application? I looked at your ideabook and it looks like you're planning a bathroom remodel. If you love this stone, but hesitate to use it due to the upkeep, maybe try incorporating it into your design in a creative way like a border or inset detail on your floor or your wainscot. You can also easily find this stone in 12 x 12 mosaic sheets if you wanted to incorporate that into your design as well.
Cheryl Brunnemer Hochstetler Thanks for the info! We are remodeling 2 bathrooms. I went to the tile store today. I picked travertine for both. Ivory for one room...and Bucak dark and light for the other. Funny you suggested using the Emperador for accents. We were talking about using them in small squares to spice it up a bit. But then we decided to use 2 x 2 Cremna Noce. We're still in the design mode so it may change again. Thanks for the info. And thank you to you and the other designers who post photos on here to give us cool ideas!
Chris Jovanelly Interior Design It's a Kohler toilet, but I don't know what the name is, and can't find it on the website. I chose this toilet because I like the detail where it meets the floor.
