A close-up view of the main entry. Before there was a long, odd and ugly concrete strip jammed-up against the blank garage wall that was the only way visitors could reach the front door (see my website for "before" images). We removed the stark concrete and replaced it with a two level planter containing lush plants. A small terrace and steps crafted from native stone forms the new route and is the 'backbone' of this warm and welcoming entry. Previously, the front area was stark in places and was composed of a naive mix of styles. This new landscaped entry unifies the house with its neighborhood and environment. And more importantly, the renovated entry reflects the personality and refined good taste of the homeowners.
