We purchased this antique sideboard buffet from craigslist and turned it into a double sink vanity. The three doors on the front made it perfect for a two sink vanity. The middle cupboard is all usable space and there is lots of storage in the other cupboards under the sinks. We put Travertine tile on top with the original sideboard wood backsplash. We added brass and crystal chandelier wall sconces, oval mirrors, Kohler white oval sinks and kept the Moen chrome vintage lever faucets we already had.

Which Kohler sink style did you use and what are the sink dimensions? Do the sinks go nearly all the way back to the wood backsplash and how many inches of vanity top surface do you have in front of the sink? Thank youQ »
Julie Murray Thanks for your interest. I believe the sink is the 19" Farmington Kohler sink. Our travertine top is 21" deep. The sink is installed in the center before the backsplash was added. It leaves about 2-3/4" in front of the sink and about 2" between the sink and the backsplash. Hope this helps.
Julie Murray Hi. Sorry, I just saw your question. This vanity is 6'8" long and 21" deep, which is what we needed for our space. For a single sink, 2'6 to 3' long would give you some counter space on each side of the sink and 20-21" would probably be the minimum depth; normal bathroom counters are about 24" deep. Hope this helps.
Thanks.

Julie Murray For height you can use your kitchen counter height or bathroom counter height.
Kitchen counters are a little taller. Our vanity is about kitchen height just because that is how tall it was.
Thanks.
