This master bath renovation featured a curbless shower with the Tatami Shower Pan by Lacava. It also includes a sunken garden tub by MTI. The tub filler and shower valves are also by Lacava. The area is wrapped in Bisazza glass mosaic tile, to include the vanity area. Recessed lights wash the wet wall and highlight the texture and color of the glass mosaic tile. Adjacent to the glass mosaic tile is a large format, 12"x24" porcelain tile. The door, shown at left, is paneled with a mirror--by Trustile. A treetop bathing sanctuary with views into the Northern California oak trees and a bathtub that allows for optimal viewing of the trees outside. This tranquil master bath in suburban Chicago was remodeled from a formerly cramped bathroom with a large whirlpool tub to a modern, sleek, open space. Photos by Thomas Miller

The materials we chose draw inspiration from (and balances) contemporary aesthetics and the jubilant energy we experience during our younger years. We created a long step and a long bench to provide seating for the parents while bathing the child. Vanity and concealed storage niche are spaces for towels and toiletry. The glass tiles hue harmonizes very well with grey toned floors and remaining walls resulting in a one of a kind delicate space.
