Thank you very much! We are not sure who manufactured the hood range as we are stone fabricators and simply provided the marble.

If you want it to have universal appeal then you can't go wrong with Absolute Black. It is also more cost effective than many of the other stones. I would consider honing it so it will be charcoal grey instead of black. Consider white tiles for the backsplash to keep it light.

You might also look into soapstone if you go with black countertops! They're extremely durable and pair well with wood and white. Saratoga Soapstone can be found across the US, find a quality fabricator near you: http://www.artisan-counters.com/find-a-store/

Good luck!

We are not sure, this was installed a few years ago and we have not heard back from the homeowner. Feel free to speak to an Artisan Group countertop fabricator in your area. Go to www.artisan-counters.com and click on where to buy. They can tell you what sizes this marble is available in. It is Calacatta Gold Marble. Thanks!

Marble can stain with oil, wine or citrus. Honed is better at hiding stains and Artisan Group is the only network that sells Firstline sealer! To find a store near you, visit www.artisan-counters.com and go check out some marble in person. They can demonstrate Firstline sealer as well. Thanks!
