Business Description
Debora Carl Landscape Design was founded in 2000 with a mission of designing outdoor living spaces appropriate to California's Mediterranean climate, utilizing distinctive materials and accessories, and emphasizing drought-tolerant , low -maintenance plant selections. Our team creates designs that are sensitive to the lifestyle of each client and to the unique character of each home and site.

Our design process is simple. We work closely with our clients to create a living environment that reflects and enhances their lifestyle, while incorporating elements that highlight existing features and space. We work directly with architects to thoughtfully integrate indoor with outdoor spaces, connecting each home with its garden.

Since our founding, our work has been featured in numerous publications and garden exhibitions, including Sunset, Garden Design, Better Homes and Gardens, San Diego Home and Garden, Luxe Interiors & Design, Riviera Interiors and more.

We treat each project as an opportunity to create a new, exciting, and unique design. We hope you will join us in this experience.

These are standard concrete blocks and cap using 4" high block for a slimmer look. The block wall is sand blasted upon completion with coarse sand to reveal the aggregate and add texture. The steps are poured in place sand finished uncolored concrete.

The plant is Sanseveria 'Silver Queen'. It provides a clean vertical accent in full to part shade and requires very little water.

Lovely pictures, I really liked the last one with grasses, flowers, etc of different colors giving the place quite an interesting look. Colorful flowers of varied colors in the garden, especially all along the fences gives a very nice look to the entire outdoor space. I have done this in my garden and I'm loving it :)

mleighmiller, according to Monrovia and other online sources, asparagus fern and foxtail fern is exactly the same plant (asparagus densiflorus), so I'm not sure of your point... please clarify. I try not to identify plants in photos that are not my own unless I'm pretty sure of the ID. Most people who post photos don't ID plants. Nonetheless, my point remains the same.

Great ideas for using succulents. They're great for our environment here in Orange County. Here's a vertical succulent wall the homeowners put up on one of our latest projects. They are assorted varieties, but the customers also had pots of jade throughout the yard.

I would love to have a succulent wall planter on the side of my garage, but have some concerns about dampness between the planter and wall that might cause mildew or even deterioration of the wall surface. What is your experience with this??

I used a deep, charcoal-y gray on my backyard fence. The fence disappears and the plants zing out. My multi-trunk crepe myrtle with their pale trunks are spectacular against the charcoal.
