    anneb47 This is to "mattiepup": I'm an American who has lived in Canada for more than 30 years. Open patriotism is a relatively new thing in Canada. There are very few flags waiving around here. But, go to Florida, Ann Arbor, Michigan, and even the recent tragic Boston Marathon, and see an abundance of Canadian flags waiving, without what you feel is appropriate: an accompanying American flag. (Since you feel a traveler to Canada cann't waive an American flag without simultaneously waiving a Canadian flag.) In Boston, there was a very large Canadian flag hung from a hotel window. In a Florida retirement community, the flag pole hung the Canadian flag every day, not the American. I see many Italian flags here, especially on Italian soccer tournament days, and flying from car antenna, but you only dislike seeing the American ones, saying it is lack of etiquette. Sounds more like anti-Americanism to me. Canadian flags flying in U.S. don't bother anyone. American flags seen in Canada bother a lot of Canadians. I thought our two countries were supposed to be friends.

    andyhoffmann No rule but don't make it too tight. I actually added a towel bar on the right side of the vanity so I didn't have to put it on the papered wall or look at a towel. Keep in mind you want to be able to clean on both sides. I have about 7 inches on each side of mine.
