However, those shoestrings were loosened for my double copper hammered farmhouse sink, copper faucet, and copper cabinet hardware. I can't wait to see everything installed. And NO I am NOT concerned in the LEAST about any "Health Risks".

cassandraeve Icrannell: yes, the ofuro was very economical. Its been about 19 years since I was there but I think it was metal and unfortunately I can't recall what we cleaned it with. The toilet was definitely in a different room (hole in the ground style) as bathing is a cleansing process that they take quite seriously and toileting, well, speaks for itself. In the bathroom we had a separate basin and shower. The ofuro was only to be entered AFTER washing/showering. Our ofuro was not a beautiful design. Like many homes in Japan, our apartment was of a lowly nature but kept extremely clean. When I design mine however, the aesthetics will be wonderful!
