DuChateau Floors

Old World Craftsmanship Meets Luxurious Modern Design

Designed to reflect the styles found in Europe from centuries ago, DuChateau® Floors are hard-wax oil hardwood floors developed in Holland. With hand-crafted textures that highlight the natural changing grain patterns of the wood, DuChateau® floors create the time-worn look of a true vintage floor. As a proponent of environmentally friendly harvesting methods, DuChateau® wood floors are FSC-Certified, and each plank is treated with all-natural, low VOC hard wax oil.

DuChateau Floors @mkudo91361 DuChateau Floors will have variation between the planks due to the natural finishing processes that highlight the wood's natural character and artistry. When the planks are installed, the overall color variation between the planks achieves a uniform look in the space while each plank maintains its unique character creating an interesting result.

Both Danube and Lintel are treated the same way, so the color of the two floors will be the same, but texture will be different. The Lintel will have a split plank face to appear as though it's made out of smaller planks with more character while the Danube planks are consistently sized and incorporate a hand-sculpted surface accentuating the natural knots in the wood.

We suggest ordering a box from your retailer to review the planks laid out next to each other before making the final purchase to get a better idea. You may also want to look at Slat (Heritage Timber Edition) for a more gray floor.

jmaurry I've seen slat in person, and it does look green. We purchased Vernal Antique white and love it, it's being installed this week and so far looks beautiful, but I don't think its what you're looking for. It's very smooth and has very little knots. I've seen Danube in person and that one looks very nice. Just go to a few retailers and that gives you a sense of the variation.

DuChateau Floors The Danube, Lintel, Lugano and Davos are the most beige colors in our collections. For gray, there's Como, Slat and Greystone - all with very different textures.

It's important to see samples in person as display settings vary from monitor to monitor and distort color no matter how much a photograph has been matched to the actual wood sample.

DuChateau Floors The wood used for the wall and floor covering is DuChateau Floors. The color is Zimbabwe from the Terra Collection of hardwood floors. We don't have information on the other items in this photograph. This photo is from Angeleno Interiors Spring 2011 issue.
