    windows - it looks like these windows are kerfed jamb bullnosed. Do I need to use 2 x 6 framing to get this look? Or are 2 x 4 fine?

    Godden Sudik Architects Inc We always use 2x6 framing. Code requires that we get a certain R-Value of insulation in the exterior walls and that depth of insulation requires a 2x6 wall. The added benefit of using 2x6 walls gives a deeper look to the window jamb. If this is what you are looking for I would suggest 2x6 walls. We have sometimes even framed out a second wall to give a really deep look to this style.

    Godden Sudik Architects Inc This room is roughly 18' wide by 19' long. This is a great size as it allows for furniture to be placed in the middle of the room and circulation around the furniture. This allowed us to put a set of doors on two sides of the room that lead out on to the large deck in the back. The home owners wanted a lot of glass to allow light to flow into the space.

    Godden Sudik Architects Inc This ceiling is a barrel vault ceiling with rough sawn beams in between the vaults. Then thin brick was applied to the barrel vault to give the old world look to this kitchen.
