(JHP), in 1984 after many years as a painter. As a two man crew, Joel and another painter did everything from acquiring work, bidding, painting to billing and collecting money. As business improved, office help was acquired so that the painters could concentrate more on painting. Today, Joel Hamberg Painting has a well-trained crew of 9 painters and 3 office workers operating out of their Northeast Portland office. Our services now include: residential and commercial painting, wood finishing and refinishing, and “green” painting using environmentally friendly products. Green paints contribute to better indoor air quality due to their low VOCs and low odors. This leads to a better living environment for everyone, from infants to the elderly.
