Lite4 Outdoor Lighting
Those are custom built into the concrete. I am sure Jerry had the lexan covers custom made for the project. It is a pretty cool effect. McKay landscape lighting (Jerry McKay) is located in Omaha Nebraska if you want to look him up for the specifics.

That is correct. They are poured concrete pillars with channels. We installed a warm white LED tape lights with frosted custom Lexan covers.

If you go 12v inside or outside, you will need transformer. If you want it on a switch or dimmer, 120v might be a better solution.

Flexfire LEDs
There's actually nothing inherently easier about attaching switches and dimmers to 120v vs. 12v or 24v. We attach our 12v and 24v strips to switches and dimmers all the time - i.e. there are many off-the-shelf dimmers that are directly compatible with most high quality strips.
