KUBE architecture

KUBE architecture is a modern architecture studio that challenges the norms of daily life and attempts to reinterpret ways of working and living in the built environment. Every new challenge is considered in the most creative way possible. KUBE views its clients as partners in the design process, and works to create customized spaces that suit their lifestyle, desires, functional needs, and budget.

KUBE emphasizes the primary components of architectural space: light, color, texture, and materiality. Working with new materials and methods of construction, research is an on-going process at KUBE. We believe in the value of sustainable materials, and utilize green products whenever possible. Finally, KUBE believes in economy of means, and in creating efficient spaces that achieve both richness and simplicity.

KUBE architecture The panels are from 3form.com. A company that makes a wide variety of resin based panels. They can be expensive. Basic panels are 4x8 and are $1,200. Plus shipping. You may want to try Acrylyte panels. Much less expensive. Especially if u are just looking for translucent panels with no embedded textures .
Let me know if that makes sense. Rich.

KUBE architecture The cabinets are custom by our mill worker- we design most of our kitchens, and then send the drawings out for pricing to multiple sources ( we even do IKEA kitchens) - we find our millworkers are more affordable usually if our client wants to go custom - in this case the colors were selected by Janet, my biz partner ( this is her house) - they are laminates - and the millworker built the kitchen based on her design. Thanks for your question- r

KUBE architecture I LOVE IT!!!! so WARM... the use of wood - the role of light... yet very modern and welcoming....clearly a HOME.....may be confusing to those embedded in a traditional past.... but thats OK...

calikym What I like most is how the designer maintained the open feel of the entire house but not at the expense of storage space. Everything looks built-in, but in a perfectly planned and designed way. I really love it, would buy it myself, but would change the couch and/or add more comfy chairs (and yes, I saw the new post with the added cushions on the chair). Gorgeous! Nicely done.

joghog Congratulations to the Faulkner's! I'm glad this home found a new owner that wants to preserve it as much as possible for another generation. We just bought a home built in 1967 with native materials & the vision of a student of Arkansas' famous Fay Jones (apprentice of Frank Lloyd Wright). We bought it from the original owners and hope to do the same. It's a wreck right now because we're replacing the aluminum wiring.
