    julie77777 ddelora and Lyn T -- I am with you.......I cannot imagine having to clean grout on my kitchen walls near my stove and my sink! I am starting some remodeling and can't deide what to do .... all these modern backsplashes are lovely to look at, but wow..... I currently have two coats of a very good paint behind my stove and it cleans up great. I have decided to definitely go with the short (3"?) backsplash that normally is attached to the countertop; absolutely cannot imagine NOT having that right behind my sink. Then above that, not sure yet... Low budget for backsplash --

    jacksonbeth We really like our new tile backsplash because it is unique. We took advantage of a product by Web Don called Kitchen Palette..it is very nice, allows for interchangable design of your entire backsplash:
