My husband and I purchased 13 doors from TruStile in 2021. Due to high demand and the lingering supply chain issues from the pandemic we were advised it would be a 6 month wait from order to delivery. Based on their fine reputation we were willing to wait. When we received the long-awaited doors, 4 out of 13 had defects serious enough to merit warranty service. While communication with CEO Jeff Elkin was cordial, he had no impact on the performance of the contracted workers; consequently service issues dragged on for months. Defects acknowledged by TruStile in February were not addressed for repair until early April. At that time, the work was promised to be completed in 2 weeks and it took 6 weeks. When the doors were finally returned in May, they were filthy and dinged. In fact, one door fell on a windowsill before being rehung in our newly renovated home. The windowsill required sanding and painting. Additionally, there was a carved letter ’n’ on the backside of one of the ‘repaired’ new doors when it was returned. The ‘carving’ required filling and sanding before being repainted by us. For doors that cost in the neighborhood of 4 figures each, we expected better service! Even our contractor wore gloves when installing the doors but not the TruStile contractors, hence the fingerprints and dirt all over the returned doors. I don’t dispute the quality of the doors which were not defective, but goodness help you if you need support after delivery with defective doors. I don’t believe a company of this caliber should sell in a region if they don’t have reliable contractors to support repairs in a professional and timely manner. Poor communication, over-promising and underdelivering and sloppy service made our experience with TruStile a true disappointment. Buyer beware.

Are trustile 10 light doors supposed to look like this once painted? Why can you see the raw wood where the panes insert? So you can’t get it the right color? Worse yet the plastic did nothing to protect the seepage of paint and now I have three colors showing on the edges of these doors and they look terrible. There is something wrong with the construction of these doors if they cannot be painted properly and you see the raw wood!!

I ordered 4 doors from TRUSTILE: 2 privacy, 1 pre-hung, and 1 barn. This totaled over $5k. All doors arrived 14 weeks later defective. TRUSTILE had 2 weeks to simply propose a resolution - NOTHING. I ultimately was forced to request a refund after I had spent $1700 additional for installation/paint. That $1700 is gone. I cannot stress the disappointment in quality, (especially given the price point), and customer service. I would strongly urge you to purchase your doors from another vendor - I promise you there is NOTHING special about TRUSTILE doors - they are overpriced - they are poor quality - and the customer service is THE WORST. Never again.

Long story. Doors seem to look great. NOTHING BUT PROBLEMS:
Several doors arrived damaged and had to be repaired or reordered. Any slabs, sliders, or bifold, pocket doors are shipped completely unprotected. Had to wait for repairs to 3 doors and complete replacement of bifolds (2-4weeks)
Pocket doors arrived without being fully prepped for hardware even though I purchased the hardware WITH the doors. Had to have a Trustile rep come to the site and manually prep the doors. We then had to repair the amateur work done.
Bypass closet doors came machined as two right side doors. Had to wait for replacement (2-4 weeks). Replacement came and was prepped on both front and rear. Had to wait for replacement.
Two prehung doors were sent with the wrong 2.5” hinge screws. Predrilled the holes prior to noticing. Now have to call and order the correct screws and repair the holes.
Bifold doors do not fit the specified opening. The ordering tool is not great and they were ordered for a 60” opening. Had to plane down a large amount off the doors and they are still tight.
I would NEVER order these overpriced, poorly manufactured pieces or garbage again. They should be free for all the waiting, repairs, damage, poor quality, and missing items I’ve had to deal with.

Hello to all you out there, excited about a home renovation project. These COVID times are understandably difficult, but, in this situation, problems are made more difficult to solve when the company, who on close inspection appears to make an exceptional product, does not stand behind their product. I ordered 4 prehung 3 panel doors. Two of these doors do not close well though they do catch in the strike plate-the fit a problem due to warp. The door I am reviewing here is an entry door to my daughter's bedroom. I had a company rep to my home to evaluate, not only the bedroom door, but 2 pocket doors -reeded glass inserts, one of which was so badly warped that it scraped on the pocket. On eval by the rep, I was told as it was only 1/4 inch warped, there was nothing they could do - this was within industry standards. The door was visibly bad, crooked, and I was told to have the pocket cut larger...this would have allowed one to look into the wall space. As to resolution of the lack of bedroom door closure-I was told to simply get a larger strike plate. Not having found such, I called TruStile today and was first told they were just the manufacturer and I had to call the facility from whom I had purchased the door. O
n explaining that it was certainly a manufacturing issue-I eventually was connected to an inside sales rep. At this point, I was told tat the problem was potentially Baldwin's construction problem-"likely"-couldn't say for sure.

Collaborative Design Group-Architects & Interiors
Average rating: 5 out of 5 stars
Collaborative Design Group has been working with TruStile Doors since our introduction to them over two years ago. We were fortunate enough to tour their facilities last year and were so impressed that we have been specifying their doors for most of our clients as they produce some of the most beautiful doors available at a great price. Their range of door designs complement most architectural styles, and their custom design ability is unparalleled in the marketplace today. With the simplest sketch, they can build the door of our clients dreams, whether it is an MDF or stain grade door, standard size or custom! Rarely have we met a company that has this flexibility in design and fabrication and cannot recommend them highly enough. They build hundreds of doors each day, and do not care if each one was different, they just want to provide beautiful doors at a fair price.

As a long time dealer for Trustile Doors there is no better company to work with to design custom interior doors. They offer more design options than any company in both paint grade MDF and stain grade woods.
Their Door Design Tool is unique in the industry for clients to custom design every door in their project and export CAD files into their plans.
