What conditions does Boltonia like?

I need to divide and move one that accidentally came along with a much shorter plant. It's lovely, but not in that spot. It's in part sun now, under an ash tree.

I'm in Zone 5b, Chicago.

The place I have in mind is full sun until very late. A difficult area to reach with the hose, so if it's very thirsty....

Boltonia Aster I"ve found to be an easy one. Full sun or at least 4+ hrs of good sun, it can take pretty dry but I don't think it's xeriscape. I found it a happy plant both in very dry Denver yrs ago and recently in the Boston area. It gets big, around 5', so be prepared to tie it up or support it somehow, especially with the winds we seem to get all the time these days! This is it several yrs ago in my Boston garden. I think I tied it up a day or so after this...it was starting to lean here.
