@Diane Nicole, you can just google what butterflies can be found in your area and what their host plants are. Audubon could also help I'm sure. Your local library would carry books on flora and fauna for your region.

Monarchs coming thru Texas in November love Fall Aster and Perennial Blue Floss Flower. I've turned half my lawn into a butterfly/bee feeding ground with these plants along with wildflowers grown from seed - they seem to have more nectar than the stuff I've planted from containers.
