normpo You jest, but minimalism has no definition which determines size or luxury. Minimalism is simply having what you need or love, and which supports the life you want to have. It is about doing away with things which cost you (in money, time, stress, whatever the cost is to you that the payback isn't worth it), to make time and money for things that are important to you (friends, love, creativity, travel, free time, or whatever it is for you.) For someone minimalism may be a single room apartment with a mattress on the floor so they can quit the job they hate, for another it may be a 5000 sf luxury home which allows them to live in harmony with their family and friends, supports their mental and physical health, and gives them space for the things they love to do. It all depends how that home is used and how it affects that owner's life.

With the pandemic our lifestyle completely changed. Everything we need is delivered and we have a stocked pantry. I spend a lot of time meal planning and cooking now. Stocking up became essential for us.

Excellent article that explains how minimalism should work, rather than just only keeping x amount of things for an arbitrary reason.
