Bought one with a incline incorporated into the trough...works well and our plumber wasn't the brightest bulb.

The most important thing when choosing a linear drain is "How Easy is it to Clean"

So many drains have two screws, 4 screws, 12 screws or more. All places for filth to collect and grow nasty.

The linear drain's from ACO lift out with a little stainless key and clean up easy. Best in class, bar none.

When designing your wet room try and have the floor framing lowered so more options are available to you at tile time. Take a look at the eBook link above - we are lowering some floor framing this week and prepping up for a new ACO linear drain install.

I wonder what happens if someone loses the key for the ACO drain. LOL. That would be my luck. What do the keys look like? (of course, I think it would be nicer to have a simple key instead of having to get the screwdriver out and hope the screws don't strip-- or fall through the drain).

The "key" is nothing more than a bent piece of metal wire about 12 or 10 gauge. It simply assists you in lifting the grate out. It may be lifted out in any number of other ways, just be carefull not to scratch it.

Ohh! Ok. So technically I could probably use a plastic coated wire hanger to lift it. That's good to know.
I don't know why, but I suddenly had a flashback to the first time I saw a wetroom-- it was in Singapore. Absolutely tiny bathroom with just a toilet and shower. And then the Singapore Zoological gardens had wetrooms and outdoor wet spaces that had covers for all of the electrical outlets and they could literally spray the entire place down with a hose to clean it. The "kitchen" where we prepared some of the feed for the various critters was one of those spray down things. That soy stuff we mixed was pretty messy.
