Our study (11' x 11' ) is the messiest room in the house & badly in need of a reno. I would like to change the bottom section of the bookcases to filing drawers which would mean it would have to protrude out maybe another 8 inches to give a ledge area. We like the wood on the bookshelves and would like to keep it since it does warm up the space but I'm not sure of the wood paneling on the one wall. Is there a way of making it richer looking? What would you do with the rest of the walls? Not sure of layout of the room but it's nice to sit at the desk and see out the window. What can you do with the computer screen... It seems to be an eyesore ??
