Small Space Dining

So this dining room needs help! I bought a light fixture (on the floor, pictured) so need to install that, and I also need to buy all new dining room chairs. What can I hang on the walls? Or paint an accent wall? It's too small for a china cabinet, already tried that and it threw the balance of the room off completely. Maybe hang shelves? All help appreciated, thanks!

That's a huge light fixture, are you sure about the scale? While the room may not accommodate a cabinet, perhaps a console table or narrow floating shelf could substitute and offer much needed horizontal surface.
