Kitchen/Dining Room
original looking buffet, two wood tones, glass like ours
This is the layout I want!
Example of dark oak cabinets, interesting pot rack
interesting island shape and materials
interesting colors, built-in seating, open storage to left of door
Very similar to what I'd like for buffet
this is the rug we have in living room
cutouts below sink
counter steps back which would allow room for 36" fridge, nice bracket on overhead cabinets
like copper top and furniture look
great built-ins
doors to conceal microwave or TV
TV above refrigerator
open storage near sink for cutting boards, pullout towel rack and footstool, integrated drainboard in counter, ceiling detail
pullout towel bar, probably prefer no door
integrated paper towel holder
knife storage preferably in island
island seating could extend with 4th seat toward dining room
compost hatch in island to sweep scraps in
compost drawer above garbage and recycling
copper compost chute, this one goes directly outside!
traditional compost bin under sink
quad recycling center
simple pot rack, inset for often used spices, rustic chairs and counters
chalkboard or message board on side of fridge or pantry
built-ins for dining room, pull-out shelf in reading nook
spice rack, paper towel holder
power and USB strip someplace in island
open spice rack option
cutlery and spice drawers
symmetrical cabinet layout around sink
storage for oils and spices
under sink recycling center
oak cabinets with simple cutouts lend craftsman feel
two tier cutlery drawer
nice curved detail
footstool storage for tall cabinets
great storage with tapered lines for hands
pantry storage with pullots; space for sheet pans here or above fridge
concealed appliance area next to pantry
Interior sink ledge supports cutting board, drain board, etc. Great for vegetable prep. Expands work area
Another interesting trick was placing windows behind the cabinets that flank the range. Paired with glass-front cabinet doors, this allows natural light to filter through from the side yard.
