Mudroom or transitional space
flip up cabinets in cedar
looks great - simple and cheap
idea; squares along the outside w/ a chalkboard centered in the middle. boxes would have to be shallow.
interesting choice to subway tile under the vanity -
You could simply "push" the current door back 8 feet to the outer wall and "wrap" the shelving like in this pick.
love this - slate floor
What if, rather than a porch we enclosed the covered portion, capturing the square footage and turning it into a pure mud room. They key would be maintaining the windows and light that is currently there. you could move the bench/mud room portion into a cabinetry or other use.
while I don't like the idea of giving up the bench - this is an alternative to add substantial storage
just a great porch
could create a transitional space outside by simply adding a bench, locker or other creative "stepping stone" into the house. Also, a bench could service as extra seating for get togethers.
use smaller slate tiles in a smaller space
