Also round, chrome
Classic chrome
Square, but rounded, black.
Angular, but not square.
Interesting knife block
W: Interesting tile. This might not work for us because it seems to be tying in with the butcher block (and K thinks probably wood floor), but we like the stone texture of the tile over the range. K: contents of island are appealing.
K,W: Ok light.
K,W: Ok light
K: An example of tile that I don't hate. (Subway tile seems a little more interesting to me with an accent line; square tiles don't appeal, don't seem to like tiny mosaics either....)
K,W: Lid storage in middle cabinet is interesting. Have you seen those before?
K,W: Like the pull out drawers in this lower cabinet. Would this also work for above the fridge cabinets?
W: Here's a back access to the cabinets. Would that work with the stools, or is that too much of a conflict?
W: Does this peninsula include access to the cabinet from the back? Would that be an alternative to the lazy susan for big pots?
K,W - Don't need feet on cabinets. Don't particularly like the look, and seems hard to keep clean.
K,W: Another schoolhouse light possibility (a little big, perhaps)
K,W: Schoolhouse lights -- simple design, not too low.
K: I like the dark countertops and white cabinets (though not the actual style of the cabinet doors). I like the shelf for the cookbooks that is down below the microwave. Visible, but not inviting such ready browsing as an upper shelf. It's also good to see what a microwave below looks like. I also like the little organizational space above the left counter -- but would like it more as a desk component, not associated with upper cabinets.
K: Pullouts! How do they get them out though (no knobs). Also like drawer pulls (not too heavy), but not sure about dark vs. lighter metal.
K: Like pull out shelves for down below.
K: I like the cookbook storage visible, but down below.
K: Like the counter surface over washer and dryer, and the fact that there is counter adjacent to the sink.
K: Maple cabinetry is catching my eye more than I would have guessed. Still not something I think I want in the kitchen.
K: Marmoleum? Perhaps a little too strong a blue. Border is too much for me.
K: Laundry room: Like the fact that there is some counter surrounding utility sink. Drying rack above is cool. Cabinets are maple?
K: Another "don't like anything at all". White cabinetry and whiter range unappealing. Don't like bead board backsplash or glass on cabinet doors (seems like really wide doors, by the way and other doors seem narrow, particularly up above), or butcher block counter, or light marmoleum on flooring. Shelf below with curvy edges looks cluttered and too country.
K: Pretty much nothing. Don't like dark cabinetry below with light countertop. Also don't like tiny mosaic tiles. Color scheme doesn't do much for me either.
K: Style of cabinetry. Also, glass doors with open shelving next to them.
K: Marmoleum?
K: Have you ever seen corner drawers like this? Is it a viable alternative to a lazy susan? If so, it seems like there might be less wasted space, and better visibility and access to contents.
K: Sort of like the blue and yellow combo here -- but more likely reversed. Blue for the flooring and yellow for the wall.
K: Surprisingly, I again like the neutrality of the dark gray marmoleum.
K: Despite leaning toward painted cabinets, I do like the look of these maple cabinets.
K: Trying to decide whether I like the dark gray marmoleum. Paint color is way too pale. Not keen on white appliances with white cabinetry.
Chris likes the pulls or whatever....
Drawer pulls - centered on drawers
