Bathroom question - Is there a standard in how far the vanity and toilet need to be from one another? I have a small bathroom and determining if I can go to a 48 inch vanity vs a 36 inch! »
Kenny Grono It is recommended that the distance from the centerline of toilet to any bath fixture, wall, or other obstacle should be at least 18 inches, but by code it is only required to be a minimum distance of 15 inches.
Bill Fry Construction - Wm. H. Fry Const. Co. Oh, it is the seat that threw me!
Glad I got the toilet right.
Nice looking seat.
And who would think that toilets are something to get excited about - but the right fixtures can really make a difference!

Bathroom Resolution No. 1: Save moreWith water becoming an ever-scarcer resource in so many places, prices are slated to rise. Offset these new rate increases with fixtures that conserve water.Consider faucets that use Venturi principles to add water to their flow, giving you a great shower experience while still conserving.Consider faucets with the WaterSense label. WaterSense is to water conservation as EnergyStar is to your electric usage.Consider low flow and dual flush toilets to conserve water.
Dual-flush toilets. Toilets consume far more water than any other indoor fixture, accounting for 30 percent of most homes' indoor water use. Dual-flush toilets, increasingly common in homes, are an easy way to cut water use without compromising effectiveness. A dual-flush toilet differs from standard models with two flush options: one for liquid waste, which uses less than a gallon of water, and a second for solid waste.
