Curate your collections. Close your eyes and imagine a big crazy cornucopia full of weird plastic vegetables and dried leaves atop this cabinet. Open your eyes and see how this organized grid cleaned up the look of an autumn leaf display.

Artwork looks great when grouped in a collection; create a fall display by tearing out leaf pictures from a book, drawing your own or even collecting a batch from the backyard and preserving them through wax-paper pressing.
This wouldn't have worked if there were, say, only four or five prints pinned to the wall. But there are 40 leaf prints hanging above this sideboard in a large rectangular scheme that covers the entire wall. Dramatic!
You can easily create your own prints. Here is a collection of loose leaf inks of leaves simply stuck to the wall. It expands on the French garden theme.
Another method to try is pegging your favourite collection onto a string. Try old fashion seed packets, favourite artist cards or even a row of Tibetan prayer flags.
