Julie Williams Design yes, operable skylights are fantastic, they let in the air when you want and seal tight when they close. Make sure you don't get one too big, because you want to make sure you have plenty of light at night in your bathroom, and a large skylight will prevent you from having even light distribution as it can occupy a large portion of the ceiling. This prevents you from having recessed cans or other lighting. It is something I always evaluate before recommending a skylight, will I be able to get good lighting in this room at night? Everyone thinks about how bright it will be in the daytime, but they forget that at night they are a large black hole and will require good lighting around them.

ballasa I've had a roof window that opens in my bathroom for many years and love it. I can lie in the bathtub and watch the sky. The light it provides is fantastic and it has never leaked. I can open it to let heat out when it builds up in the summer. The pitch of my roof is about 45 degrees.

Julie Williams Design The countertop is a Crema Marfil slab. The floor tile is Crema Marfil tile. The shower walls are a cream 3x6 with Walker Zanger's Paradigm Nautilus liner in seagrass and a seagrass 1x2 liner above and below.
