Shane D. Inman Good Morning and thanks for your question.
Well - what I would do is to first use cork tiles - they come in 12"x12". I would then glue them to the wall all around the dart board - about 3' to each side. Then I would apply another layer of the same cork tiles to the same location so that the cork is really thick - this way the darts will not penetrate through the cork and damage the wall - when thrown at the dart board.
You can either glue both layers of cork to the wall or you could apply them to a substrate first (wood or MDF) this way you can then remove the entire board at a later date without having to scrape the cork off the wall because you glued it down.
Hope that helps
Have a great day!

hwwall Thank you! I am thinking of doing my son's room with one small wall of just cork board so my 11 year old can pin a bunch of stuff up! Any thoughts on how to do that?
This corkboard was custom-made for the client. We used cork tiles and had my tradesman cut it for fit the area. Thank you for asking and please feel free to ask if you have any other inquiries.
Small cubbies counter cork board would also like file drawer underneath with small drawer cork board cabinets for closed storage could open to white board also

I think applying cork to wood first is the way to go...didn't think of that! Thanks for the great tip.
