Michelle Jacoby, Changing Spaces I'm not exactly sure of the length of the porch but the depth, which was very important to us, is about 8 ft. .......we wanted plenty of room to move around and have large scale chairs as well. Glad you like it. This material used is epe......extremely durable and naturally greys .....very low maintenance as well.
Annie Thornton I actually really enjoy when the roofs of front porches project off the rest of the home's roof in a different material. Think of it as an accent piece. like with the decor of the house, you wouldn't use the boldest and brightest fabric or color throughout the entire house. Instead, you would limit it to a few accent pieces — like the porch roof.
Michelle Jacoby, Changing Spaces On our porch in the above photo we painted the ceiling a light blue to mimic the color of the sky.....because the ceilings were so high it actually made the space feel more cozy.
These chairs are so versatile that when painted a crisp white or a glossy black, they can mingle with the most dignified porch furniture and classic columns.
Check the condition of the floor. If you're in a place that had a lot of snow storms this winter, your porch may need a good sanding or at least a new coat of paint or protective coating on the floor.
like how you can literally run right off the porch onto nice soft grass, looks like porch foundation is raised above ground protecting wood from rot, must have cement foundation
