Subway tile - I love this subway tile. Can you please share the brand? I'm trying to find one with a nice edge not a blunt edge, but not a beveled tile either. Thanks!!! »
Kitchen cabinets - Our new kitchen will have 9' ceilings, but we really don't see the need to have cabinet higher than 36 inches. Any ideas to do with above space.... Photos would be nice . Thanks to all . Jocelyne »
The Kitchen Studio of Glen Ellyn There are 3 basic options: 1) open above 2) soffit or 3) built up molding. If you want to keep the cabinets @ 36" you will probably want to stick with option 1 or 2 as a built up molding would feel a bit too bulky. If you go with 42" cabinets, the built up molding would work nicely.

Which do you prefer, traditional white porcelain penny tiles or the look of brightly colored mosaic tiles?
Frame a panel of unusually shaped tile. These multi-colored penny rounds add style and interest to a mostly-white kitchen. The blend of contrasting colors creates visual movement, and a dark inner liner adds definition. Doesn't it look like bubbles are coming from the tea pot? Another fun thing to notice: The round cabinet knobs echo the black penny rounds.
