cesmith can't comment on the cabinets, but I just painted my kitchen which is similar in BM Spring Thaw. The kitchen is connected to the family room which I did in Bleeker Beige and this color works great with it.
Why do we see hinges on some of the doors but not on others? Drawer fronts appear to be frameless euro style, so I don't understand the bullet hinges. Thanks. »
The Brocato Group This is actually a framed style cabinet. The doors and drawer fronts are inset flush with the frame. What looks like doors with no hinges is a drawer pull out or bin pullout. A European style would be so that you don't see any framework on the face. All you would see is the fronts and doors and you would see no hinges. Hope that helps.
bepsf Depends entirely on how it's finished or if it's simply oiled.
If it's oiled, you would use Tung Oil on it periodically...
...if not, then you'd need to know how it's finished and do as the countertop folks recommended.
slepard Can you tell me what your paint color is? We are in the midst of creating the very same kitchen and we are stuck on wall color... i know lighting will make it different for everyone but would love to know... Are you happy with the butcher block and marble?
Yes, kitchen islands commonly come up in freestanding considerations. This one is built in, but it need not be so. Even a hefty farmhouse table can provide for extra work space—and eating space for a younger crowd during parties and holidays.
This is very close to what I am envisioning for the kitchen. Love the floors, the dark butcher block top looks nice with the white. The cabinets are shaker (too plain) but could be dressed up.
Love the butch block top and stain color of the floors

Love the brightness of this kitchen, and the contrast of the floors; simplicity of the clean lines, length of the island, but I don't like the wood countertop:)

big windows, continuity of windows and door (how things align).
like the look of the butcher block countertop but probably wouldn't do it bc of need for maintenance.
