Davidie Rozin Architects Hi! Windows are steel windows done by an artisan in the old fashioned way (they are referred to as Belgian windows here) the way they were done in Israel 50 years ago. The panes nowadays are usually imported from Switzerland and then galvanized and painted with high quality paints to last the next fifty years - these windows are not recommended for very cold climates...they open with hinges any way you like. We like to design so that they fold completely 180 degrees; windows fold inside, doors open to the outside.
